Hearing Conservative Training

This training program is designed for all who are exposed to high noise levels in the workplace. Subjected to the Factories and Machinery Act (Noise Exposure Regulation 1989), Section 27, it regulates that the management is required to provide an awareness training program to all its workers who are exposed to high noise levels. The program consists of theory sessions, practical demonstrations, video presentations and lectures that can be conducted in either Bahasa Malaysia or English depending on the participants’ requirements.
Course Objective
Upon completion of this training, the participants will be able to:
- Understand the provisions of the Noise Exposure Regulation 1989 (FMA 67).
- Understand and recognise the anatomy and physiology of human hearing.
- Understand the usage of hearing protection devices, Noise Reduction Rating (NRR), and the selection, use, fit, storage, maintenance and care of such devices.
- Have knowledge of the effects of noise on human hearing.
- Realise the importance of audio metric testing, and the principles and procedures in conducting the test.

Certifications and Validity
Upon completion and passing of the course, participants will be awarded the Certificate of Training. Without retraining, the knowledge and skills may deteriorate while not being in used or practised. Thus, yearly retraining is highly recommended.
